As Harry tries to jump the counter into legitimacy, his story is told through the eyes of cash-strapped politician Lord Teddy Thursby, fading movie star Ruby Ryder, petty criminal Jimmy and young lecturer and radical criminologist, Lenny - each of them finding his blend of charm and violence leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
