Each year the French government filters out students who are potential candidates for high-ranking government positions. They are shipped off to schools known as Grande Ecoles, where they are trained to become the country's future leaders.

Paul is embarking on his first term at the school and he is finding it hard to fit in with his bourgeois classmates. To compliate matters he is also having difficulty suppressing his sexual attraction to his handsome roommate, Louis-Arnault.

Understandably, his long-term girlfriend Agnes becomes jealous but proposes a bet: whoever beds Louis-Arnault first wins. If she emerges victorious, Paul will cease all contact with Louis-Arnault, but if Paul succeeds she will walk away.

Meanwhile, Paul has also met Mecir, a young Arabic handyman, who teaches the naive student the intimate pleasures of the male body.
