A Year In Provence meets La Cage Au Folles... Caroline and Bertrand move from Paris to Provence to run a tourist lodging. They find unexpected competition from a local Gay run Bed and Breakfast.

Embarking on their dream, Caroline and Bertrand escape city life and move to Provence, where they take over their friend, Sophie's Bed and Breakfast. They soon realise however, that this dream of theirs, lacks all essential dream qualities and is in fact more like hard work than anything else. Devoted to her micromanaging, Caroline's stress levels remain ever high, while Bertrand, in trying to adjust to his new surroundings, befriends Peter (Michael Maloney) and Julien (Sebastian Barrio), the owners of a nearby gay orientated Bed and Breakfast. In comparison to Caroline and Bertrand's B&B, Peter and Julien's is the epitome of chic, thus sending Caroline's stress and jealousy levels to degrees far too high to micromanage.
