Playing it straight...is about to get very complicated! Hilarious gay comedy set in London, where an Indian film maker has his perfectly crafted life upset by the arrival of his devoutly Muslim mother...
Starring Jimi Mistry (The Guru, East Is East) and Kyle MacLachlan (Charlotte's husband Trey MacDougal from Sex And The City) - this charming and surprisingly poignant romantic gay comedy highlights the cultural divide between East and West, young and old, gay and straight. Alim (Mistry) is a young Canadian movie maker living in London - with his boyfriend Giles (Kristen Holden-Reid) and the ghost of Carey Grant (MacLachlan)! Everything is going smoothly for Alim until his conservative Indian mother decides to visit with the intent of doing something about his bachelorhood. Confusion ensues as he tries to keep Giles' true identity from being discovered by his mother, whilst training to maintain composure in the style of his mentor Grant.
